7 Minute Florida Vacation Guide

By Jon Tan

Florida is one of the most popular spots for family vacations, as befits the home of Walt Disney World. Orlando, Florida is possibly the single most popular vacation spot in the world. If you're making last minute plans, it may be difficult to get reservations. As long as you don't have your heart set on a visit to Mickey's Magic Kingdom, you'll find tens of other Florida deals that will delight the entire family.

Florida Keys
If you're looking for a Florida vacation that's a little less frenetic than a Disney package, take a trip down the coast to the Florida Keys. A visit to Key Largo can open whole new worlds. Imagine sailing high above the ocean on a parasail, or viewing the sea life through the floor of a glass-bottomed boat.

Everglades
Take a trip through the Everglades on an airboat, or wander the wildlife paths through Pennekamp State Park. In the evening, leave the kids with a babysitter at the hotel and go out for a romantic evening on the town.

Cocoa Beach
The home of the Kennedy Space Center is a great place for a last minute vacation. With daytime temperatures averaging in the 70s even in mid-winter, the weather is always just right for water-skiing and wind-surfing, or hiking nature trails through a protected wildlife preserve.

Relax with a round of golf at one of the city's golf courses, spend the afternoon wandering the shops of Cottage Row, or set sail on a romantic moonlight cruise out of Port Canaveral. You'll find plenty to keep you busy in Cocoa Beach, no matter the time of year.

Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach is the home of NASCAR stock car racing, but like most Florida cities, there's a lot more beneath the surface. Besides the Daytona International Speedway, you'll find other ways to get your pulses racing - like the dragsters at Speed Park Motorsports.

If you like life a little slower, there are over two dozen golf courses, and a number of tennis and racquet clubs - and nearly 23 miles of sandy white beaches for when you want to slow the pace to a crawl. Daytona Beach is known as the Spring Break Capital of the World, but you can enjoy its pleasures in any season.

That's just a handful of destinations for any Florida travel. For a list of nearly fifty cities and the amenities that they offer a vacationer, visit the Florida.com, where they do their best to show you that it’s true - you'll find everything under the sun in Florida!
